Verliebt in Berlin is a Golden Rose-winning German telenovela, starring Alexandra Neldel, along with Mathis Künzler, Tim Sander, and Laura Osswald. It premiered on February 28, 2005, on Sat.1 in most of German-speaking Europe, with its final episode broadcast on October 12, 2007. The series is an adaptation of the Colombian telenovela Yo soy Betty, la fea, written by Fernando Gaitán and produced by RCN TV. The original season of the serial comedy-drama followed the life of the unsophisticated but good-natured Lisa Plenske, and her incongruous job at the ultra-chic Berlin fashion house Kerima Moda; while the second season revolved around Lisa's ham-fisted but sly half-brother Bruno and junior designer Hannah Refrath. Lisa and Bruno's status as two "fish out of water" drove much of the story plot. ViB was adapted into a Berlin setting by creators Michael Esser, Peter Schlesselmann and their co-team and co-producers Markus Brunnemann and Rainer Wemcken, whose production company Phoenix Film Karlheinz Brunnemann GmbH & Co. Produktions KG partnered with Grundy UFA TV Produktions GmbH to create the half-hour-long program for the German-speaking audience.

Dweezil & Lisa was a 2004 Food Network television series presented by rock musicians and erstwhile couple Dweezil Zappa and Lisa Loeb. The duo traveled around America, sampling local music and cuisine. In the opening episode they visited Atlanta, Georgia and visit places like Gladys Knight & Ron Winans' Chicken & Waffles, a soul food restaurant, and the Varsity, America's largest drive-in restaurant. New York Post reviewer Adam Buckman described the show as "a heaping helping of cutie-pie", and "[s]omewhere between spicy and bland". Barbara Hooks of The Age commented that the show "draws a long bow, cutting awkwardly from Dweezil playing charity golf in Chicago to Lisa on a confectionary crawl of the windy city."
CTV National News is CTV's flagship newscast, which airs at 11:00 p.m. local time on the CTV stations across Canada, and live at 10:00pm ET, with repeats hourly up until 2 a.m. ET on CTV News Channel, CTV's 24-hour cable news television channel, and the previous day's can be seen on the Internet. The current anchors are Lisa LaFlamme on weekdays, and Sandie Rinaldo on weekends. The program is also broadcast in High-Definition. The title CTV National News was rarely used in the 1990s and early 2000s; weeknights, the program was called CTV News with Lloyd Robertson and on the weekends, CTV News with Sandie Rinaldo. The title CTV National News was reintroduced in 2008, because CTV News has become the name of both the national and local news on CTV O&O stations, although the banner currently continues to bear the title CTV News. Lisa LaFlamme is currently the program's main weekday anchor, after taking over for Lloyd Robertson during the second half of 2011, following Robertson's retirement. Other substitute anchors include Rinaldo, Beverly Thomson, Ken Shaw, Dan Matheson, Scott Laurie and Omar Sachedina. Originally running only 20 minutes, the newscast was expanded to a full half-hour in the 1980s.
